Overview
OpenAssets is hiring a Solutions Delivery Engineer to own the end-to-end technical delivery experience for our clients. You will lead client success, quality control, release management, and production support, translating client needs into shipped, stable, high-quality software and acting as the technical face of OpenAssets when clients have questions, issues, or new features rolling out. This is a hands-on, broad-scope engineering role working closely with engineering, product, and a small SRE/ops team as a player/coach. Anything that affects how clients experience OpenAssets in production falls within your ownership.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the senior technical contact for clients on production matters, including escalations, incidents, and feature rollouts
- Join client calls to walk through releases, incidents, and reliability improvements
- Translate client-reported needs into prioritized engineering work and close the loop on resolution and prevention
- Build the client support process: triage, SLAs, runbooks, and escalation paths
- Define and enforce QC standards and acceptance criteria across products
- Coordinate manual and automated testing; own bug triage and defect prioritization
- Sign off on releases against the agreed quality bar; block releases that don’t meet it
- Drive post-release retrospectives and track quality metrics over time
- Own the end-to-end release process: cadence, environments, deployment workflow, and rollback strategy
- Run release readiness reviews and act as the go/no-go decision-maker
- Coordinate releases across engineering teams; communicate timing, scope, and risk to clients and internal stakeholders
- Continuously harden CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and change management practices
- Own platform uptime and incident response: triage, war-room coordination, root-cause analysis, and follow-through
- Manage and grow the on-call rotation, runbooks, and post-incident review practices
- Drive observability, alerting, and capacity planning across production systems
- Work alongside and help develop a small SRE/ops team as a hands-on player/coach
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 to 8 years in solutions engineering, production engineering, SRE, DevOps, or release engineering, with meaningful client-facing experience
- Track record owning release management and QC for a complex software platform (cadence, gating, rollback, acceptance criteria, and stakeholder communication)
- Production-critical systems experience with formal SLOs, on-call, and incident response; comfortable as a player/coach giving feedback and developing engineers without formal direct reports
- Application stack literacy with React, MongoDB, Node.js, and TypeScript (OpenAssets’ core stack); able to read and debug code during incidents, releases, and client issues
- AWS at production scale with Docker, Terraform (or equivalent IaC), and CI/CD tooling like GitHub Actions; Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and Bash scripting
- Observability and incident tooling: Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, Statuspage, plus QC and bug-tracking workflows
- Client-first instinct with calm composure under pressure; explains technical issues clearly to clients and execs without losing precision
- Sound judgment on when to ship, slow a release, or escalate; ownership mindset across client trust, product quality, release safety, and team health
- Bias for automation, comfort with broad/ambiguous scope, async-first collaboration across time zones, and diplomatic firmness on the quality bar
Nice to Have
- Background in fintech, digital assets, blockchain, or other regulated/high-stakes production environments, including blockchain node operations or digital asset infrastructure
- Experience operating multi-tenant SaaS platforms with enterprise clients and compliance-driven change management (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar)
- Prior software engineering experience; comfortable contributing code to automation, tooling, and bug fixes
- Depth in supporting infrastructure: service mesh and traffic management (Istio, Envoy, Linkerd), database operations and tuning (MongoDB, Postgres, Redis), and security/secrets management (Vault, AWS KMS)
- Automated end-to-end testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress), plus chaos engineering and load testing tools
We are committed to providing equal opportunity for qualified applicants to contract positions, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. This is a contract opportunity, not a direct employment role.
